This was hand made in the U.S.,2 15/16"long

Made in a 17th c. style out of Bolivian rosewood, the turning have 2 sided tapered section. There are little delicate finials at each end of the frame which is ready to have your needlepoint mounted. There are fancy French style brass wing nuts locking the frame to the base at any angle. The thread holder can be mounted to either side, or for that matter a table. The engraved part is made from an 18th c. balance cock from an English watch. It has silk thread on boxwood spools, a pin cushion w/ antique velvet and a candle. A locking thumb screw makes it possible to tilt it at what ever angle the stand is adjusted to keeping the candle and threads lined up all the time.
